Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 21, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Pu`ulu Lapa`au for Impaired Provider Monitoring Services for the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System (VAPIHCS). We believe Pu ula Lapa au is the only company in the State of Hawaii that can perform these services. The requirement requires that the vendor provide monitoring services for local healthcare professionals. Monitoring includes weekly in-person visits with impaired physicians, coordinating with local healthcare resources for the help of the impaired physicians, direct contact and outreach to the impaired physician. A draft of the performance work statement is attached. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
