DESCRIPTION: The North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG) Veterans Healthcare System, requires preventative maintenance services for the Zeiss LSM 710 Confocal Microscope Serial No. 2502000640 which is used in support of the mission of the Brain Rehabilitation Research Center. The Brain Rehabilitation Research Center is located at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK: Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC. is required to perform preventative maintenance services on a Zeiss LSM 710 Confocal Microscope IAW all governing doctrine for the proper and safe intended performance of the microscope per the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). DATA: - The following components will be covered under this agreement: Microscope, Scan Modules, Spectral Detector, NDDs, Laser Modules(s), Electronics Controller, System Computer, Software, and System Table. - Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC. is the only authorized company to perform this proprietary service. - Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC. has specific parts and upgrades/updates that other servicing parties would not have access to. LICENSE AND ACCREDITATION The technical support representative shall be responsible for employing technically qualified personnel to perform the work specified in this PWS. Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC. shall maintain the personnel, organization and administrative control necessary to ensure that the work delivered meets the contract specifications and requirements. STAFF: Certified staff will perform: All preventative and corrective maintenance Onsite technical support Mon-Fri 800-1630 All labor required to perform preventative maintenance (includes shipping) TERM: This will be a firm fixed price contract for a base year. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. The proposed NAICS 811210 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $34.0 million.
