The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to award sole source contract to BioMerieux Incorporated (large business) for all VISN 6 laboratories for cost-per-test, BACT/ALERT VIRTUO fully automated blood culture testing system, associated consumables, training, and support services. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these items are specialized and are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of items will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an estimated effective date of November 29, 2024, to BioMerieux Incorporated located at 515 S Colorow Drive, Salt Lake City, UT, 84108. This is a Brand-Name Only requirement for the VISN 6 laboratories. BioMerieux Incorporated is the original equipment manufacturer for BACT/ALERT VIRTUO fully automated blood culture testing system, associated consumables, training, and support services BioMerieux Incorporated does not have any authorized distributors to provide the requirement. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
