Notice of Intent to Issue Sole Source Award The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6), intends to negotiate with Sun Nuclear Corporation on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to procure parts for the SunCheck Radiation Oncology Software system for Richmond VAMC. The radiation oncology software is for maintenance and repair service for the Sun Nuclear System at the Richmond medical center. Services are to include software maintenance and software license renewal for the SunCheck software. Additionally, standard maintenance for the rf-Daily QA 3 including complimentary service loaners, software license and software updates and SNC machine software maintenance including all software upgrades and telephone/web-based technical support is required. Sun Nuclear Corporation is currently the only Small Business authorized to perform the required maintenance, all software upgrades and telephone/web-based technical support. The equipment covered under this service agreement is listed in the table below and is to include any components of the parent systems. The partnership agreement is to provide software license renewal, telephone and web based technical support, access to all new software release and updated manuals for both the SunCheck Software, rf-Daily QA 3, and SNC Machine Software at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VAMC. The period December 31, 2020 December 30, 2021 is to serve as the base year. Fiscal Years 22 and 25 shall serve as option years 1 through 4, respectively. The NAICS code is 334519 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 6 anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order to Sun Nuclear for this requirement. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for the Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 6 may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition.
