NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT WITH A SINGLE SOURCE: The Federal Aviation Administration Academy, intends to award a single source contract to Aviation Specialties Unlimited Boise, ID for proposed Initial and Recurrent Pilot Training in the Fixed-Wing Night Vision Goggle pilot training for FAA Inspectors and Pilots. In accordance with the FAA training requirements established by policy, Aircraft Certification services (AIR), and Flight Standards (AFB-500); all training for FAA Inspectors and/or pilots must be obtained within an approved training program as set forth in 14 CFR Parts 121, 135, 141 or 142 as applicable and pursuant to the PWS and requirements of Flight Standards and Aircraft Certification services. Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU) has been identified as the only source capable of providing fixed-wing night vision goggles training with the appropriate FAA certifications. This announcement is for informational purposes only and not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. This requirement will be awarded to Aviation Specialties Unlimited Boise, ID and is not available for full and open competition.
