The objective of this procurement is to establish and maintain a continuous, national-scale data collection and cloud-based database archive of unimputed heavy-duty freight truck vehicle trajectory data points—alongside a set of tools that operationalize state-of-the-art, literature-based algorithms and statistical methodologies for converting trajectory data points into meaningful, transportation-oriented statistical outputs—for use as a comprehensive set of transportation statistics on the performance and impacts of the United States’ national transportation system and for federal analysis projects related to transportation. The government may optionally expand this objective to include all freight trucks, including all medium-duty and some light-duty trucks.
