In accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System Section 3.2.1.2.1, the FAA is posting the Request for Information to identify interested parties that possess the personnel resources with the expertise necessary to provide engineering services in support of research, testing and validation of advanced aviation separation and airspace concepts conducted by the Separation Standards Analysis Branch located at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City, NJ. The Branch provides analytical assessments of the relationship between separation standards, emerging technological concepts, and new procedures for use in developing future airspace separation minima, e.g., Monitored Altimetry System Error (ASE), Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM), Performance Based Communications and Surveillance (PBCS) enabled separation. See the attached draft Statement of Work for further details. The anticipated period of performance is one base year period and four one-year option periods. Incumbent Contractor – The incumbent contractor is CSSI, LLC, located in Washington DC Nature of Competition - The acquisition strategy for the procurement has not been determined at this time. This sources Sought Notice is part of the FAA's market research and it will aid in the Government's determination regarding acquisition strategy.
