The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for the support of the Head-started juvenile tortoises research. The primary purpose is to provide support for conducting a research task associated with release of head-started juvenile tortoises at Edwards Air Force Base (EAFB) from 01/05/2022 to 03/31/2023. The proposed action will be awarded in accordance with FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This combined synopsis/solicitation for a firm fixed price commercial service contract is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is 140G0322Q0020 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2021-05, effective March 10, 2021. Please see solicitation with CLINS, technical specifications, provisions, and clauses. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted to the Contract Specialist no later than December 13, 2021 at 5:00 PD.. Quotations are due no later than December 17, 2021 at 5:00 PD. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type purchase order on or about Decebmer 31, 2021. NOTE: All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary - the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Materials submitted to the Government for review will not be returned.
