CARDBOARD TARGET BACKERS SPECIFICATIONS Cardboard size-14.5" x 45" Cardboard is ECT (Edge Crush Test), 44 C flute (means edge crush test, a measurement used in the industry to gauge the strength of cardboard). The cardboard should measure approximately .168 thousands of an inch, in thickness. Liner combination 55/26/55, Mics at .168 The cardboard should be ‘stock’ in color (the brown/buff color, of standard cardboard). The grain of the cardboard should be vertical cut (means the inside – wafered – porting of the cardboard, should be running lengthwise of the cardboard sheet). The corners of the cardboard sheet should be sharp/exactly squared (corners should not be rounded). The outside face of the cardboard sheet (both front and back), shall have a polished/smooth texture. The inside porting of the cardboard sheet should have a continuous sheet of corrugated cardboard/paper. When cardboard is shipped on a pallet, the tops of the cardboard pallets may have protective cover pieces of cardboard, covering the lower stacked cardboard; a top liner of cardboard/under the straps/bands that secure it to the pallet. Each pallet of cardboard should be secured with at least two pieces of banding – either metal or plastic, with attachment clips fastening the bands. A single pallet will contain no more than 750 cardboard sheets and pallets will not be double stacked. Two sides of the pallet should have an 8 ½”x11” piece of paper attached (with the Size, Manufacturers name/address/date – and number of pieces contained). An estimate of the quantity required is provided on the solicitation. Bidders must indicate the industry standard quantity to be delivered with quote. Delivery schedules, if any, must be adhered to as closely as possible; early deliveries will not be accepted unless approved in advance.
