The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with Drexel University to procure 2022-2023 ELAM Fellowship Program Fees for NIAID delegate. This requirement is for tuition fees associated with NIH employee Irini Sereti who has been accepted as a recipient into the 2022-2023 ELAM fellowship program. ELAM (Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine) is a nationally recognized program developed for senior women NIH physicians and scientists interested in intensive leadership training, with only two individuals per NIH selected per year to participate. It is an excellent, well-established, and elite 1-year fellowship that prepares senior faculty to take on leadership roles or succeed in current senior positions in biomedical academia, healthcare, or government. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C.1901 (e) (2) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements. All responses received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
