The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) intends to issue a Sole Source follow-on award to Waters Corporation (“Waters”) for Preventative Maintenance Services. The Government intends to issue a sole source award in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other will satisfy the agency requirements for the above stated service. Waters is the manufacturer of Waters Xevo G2-XS Q-TOF and I-Class UPLC. As such, supplies, accessories and parts required to service and/or upgrade the instrument can be obtained, installed, and guaranteed in the USA only from Waters. No other vendor can provide maintenance and technical support for this system. This will be a firm fixed price award. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
