FDA needs data and information that crosses the entire medical device industry - cardiovascular, dental, orthopedic, radiologic, in vitro diagnostic, ophthalmic, ENT, plastic surgery, general surgery, urology, ob/gyn, gastroenterology, renal, neurological, general hospital, physical medicine, anesthesia and respiratory devices. This includes information and data about the medical device market, including market share, sales volume, emerging and pipeline products, product information and history, and firm information and history. Information on market trends such as market share, device adoption in the market, speed of sales, rise and fall of sales, competition with other devices, clinical trial information, and company and product histories provide valuable understanding of device benefits and risks. Financial market data and reports also include information on emerging device trends which can help FDA to be more proactive in planning and allocating resources. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
