Throughout the FDA’s Northeast Medical Products Laboratory (NMPL), the Quality Assurance Program (QAP) mandates that pipettors are functionally verified on a semi-annual basis. Currently, there are approximately 370 pipettors that must meet specific criteria in terms of accuracy and precision that have been set for the volumes that they individually deliver. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain one (1) new pipettor calibration system that can reliably ensure that the pipettors used are performing in an acceptable manner is necessary. The Contractor shall provide one (1) pipette calibration system, which shall include a spectrophotometric detector unit, a computer programmed with the appropriate software for statistical determinations including pipettor Precision and Accuracy and inventory of pipettors in the laboratory, a label printer for the physical identification of each tested pipettor, and all reagents and disposable plasticware to be used in the calibrations. In addition, the Contractor shall provide on-site installation, validation, and familiarization training.
