This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to provide American made, positive pressure suits rated for Biosafety Level 4 research. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), The Office of the Chief Scientist for the Integrated Research Facility (IRF) in Hamilton Montana, conducts innovative scientific research on viral agents requiring high or maximum containment (Biosafety Level- 4) to understand transmission, pathogenesis, pathophysiology, and host immune responses, with the goal of developing diagnostics and countermeasures. The Contractor shall provide positive pressure suits equal to the Honeywell International Inc. brand previously purchased. See the Bill of Materials with the part specification requirements. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to the Sources Sought or any follow up information requests. Respondents will not be notified for the results. The information requested will be used within the NIAID to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Cage Code and DUNS number Origin of Manufacture Technical documentation that provides specifications below: Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information Clearly describe any modification the offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements.
