THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The DHHS Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service(IHS) The Environmental Health Support Center (EHSC) serves as the national coordinator of IHS based training for the Office of Environmental Health and Engineering (OEHE).Office currently intends to award a contract to provide trainings to the Indian Health Service (IHS) Sanitation Facilities Construction (SFC) program whom provides water, sewer and solid waste facilities to address sanitation deficiencies for Native American housing as authorized by Public Law 86-121. Most SFC projects serve homes in Indian communities (defined as having 50% or more AI/AN population) or AI/AN homes in communities of less than 10,000 populations. The IHS is authorized to design, construct and improve facilities, acquire lands and right-of-way for sanitation facilities, projects, and transfer complete facilities to Native American Tribal organizations or other public authorities for operation and maintenance, on a SOLE SOURCE basis, but is seeking vendors that may be able to perform this requirement in order to support a competitive procurement.
