Contractor will provide reagents (kits) and consumables to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These kits (reagents) are necessary for the continuation of an approved protocol for NHANES testing. CDC cannot change the type of kits or reagents originally utilized in this protocol with NHANES in the middle of the cycle - these are the only kits approved to do testing on NHANS samples in the current cycle. Consequently, it is believed that only Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is the sole source having the capabilities which will meet the above mentioned requirements of the CDC. It is the intent of the CDC to award a purchase order to Ortho Clinical Diagnostics if this is found to be true.
