This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE contract type for the requirement. This procurement has been designated a small business set-aside competed under NAICS 541380 – Testing Laboratories with small business size standard $16.5M. This procurement is for commercial wastewater testing services to communities that want to participate in NWSS but do not have access to testing. This contract will provide critical SARS-CoV-2 concentration data to CDC to support ongoing COVID response efforts at the national, state, and local levels. Participating wastewater treatment facilities will be recruited in coordination with CDC staff. The contractor shall provide twice weekly quantitative wastewater SARS-CoV-2 testing for 500 sites. The raw quantitative data will be submitted to NWSS for analysis and dissemination to health departments.
