Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC (herein known as “BSA”), operator of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) under a Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) herewith solicits your quote for Removal/Replacement of Liquid Phase Carbon. The scope of work includes all the labor, materials and equipment to perform this task. The following description is a summary, but not all inclusive of the required work: There are two treatment systems for PFAS contaminated groundwater. Each system requires a liquid phase carbon fill with virgin carbon. These treatment systems are known as the Current Fire House and the Former Fire House and each system utilizes two 20,000 pound carbon vessels. The scope for this work is to supply a 40,000 pound fill (or a minimum volume of 700 cubic feet of carbon per vessel) of virgin 12 x 30 carbon for each project (Total 80,000 pounds or minimum volume of 2800 ft3). The preferred carbon is Aquacarb 1230CX or approved equal. Since these vessels are empty, the carbon can be delivered in two 40,000 pound deliveries. The carbon is to be slurried into the two 20,000 pound vessels. All costs associated with transportation and delivery is to be included in your pricing. BSA invites you to participate in accordance with the RFQ letter and all supporting attachments. This requirement has been posted on the SAM.gov website under solicitation RFQ-417141.
