Technical Response General Information Battelle requests respondents provide the following information: Please describe your relevant experience and/or technical expertise with a) designing, building, delivering and integrating custom engineered devices for sieving, weighing, and aliquoting solids/powders like soil in large volume tubes (50 ml and 15 ml), conducting liquid extractions and filtering out residual particulates (syringe filters or equivalent) in these larger volumes and automated solid phase extraction systems; b) working with other vendors tasked with integrating custom engineered devices with other devices to create a desired workflow; c) customizing robotic access to devices you design; d) customizing API’s for devices you design so they can be accessed by scheduling/coordinating software and or laboratory information systems; f) leading integration of engineered and off-the-shelf devices with software developed by you or offered by other vendors that handles scheduling and control of the automated workflow with integration into local LIMS systems; Describe your availability and capacity to conduct design/build/deliver activities in the April 2023-April 2024 time-frame. Please describe the common electrical, air, cooling and plumbing needs for systems of the type described in the Technical Specifications Document Please describe space needs for systems of the type described in the Technical Specifications Document OR with reference to the existing floor plan provided in the Technical Specification Document and specifications for the rooms provided in the Technical Specification Document note any deficiencies, e.g. ceiling height, space, orientation, lack of critical plumbing or electrical features that would make installation or operation problematic. Battelle may make changes to this RFI by the issuance of one or more amendments to clarify or request additional information from any or all respondents. Clarification may be requested in the form of written response, phone calls, or in-person meetings regarding the RFI, the RFI responses, or both. The respondent shall clearly state any need for clarification or if any assumptions were made while assembling the information included in its response. This Request for Information (RFI) is part of a market research effort that will best address Battelle’s needs. This RFI is issued for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Battelle does not intend to award a contract based on this RFI, or otherwise pay for information received in response to this RFI.
