PURPOSE: Notice of Government’s intent to sole source the repair of the Eaton Liquid Cooled Eddy-Current Clutch (Dynamatic Model Number WCS 2253) to Drive Source International, Inc. (CAGE: 34SG9), Sturtevant, WI 53177-1972. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal, Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), Contracting Office (CCAM-ALC), Corpus Christi, TX is issuing a notice of intent to sole source. As set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Negotiations to be conducted solely with Drive Source International, Inc. due to the proprietary information required to complete the repairs. No other vendor possesses this proprietary information. Request for Quote (RFQ) W912NW23Q0009 was issued on 26 October 2022. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL or QUOTE. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: This is a non-personal services contract to provide for the overhaul and repair of the Eaton Liquid Cooled Eddy-Current Clutch (Dynamatic Model Number WCS 2253) used on whirl tower #1 at CCAD. The contractor shall provide all material, transportation, labor, and technical experience to inspect, repair, assemble, and test the clutch. The clutch must be commissioned to the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) specifications and requirements. The NAICS is 811310 and the size standard is $11 million. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Responses to this announcement must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time, Monday, 31 October 2022. No telephone requests will be accepted. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement.
