This is notice of the Government’s intent to issue a sole-source firm-fixed price solicitation. The proposed action is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to: Hardinge Grinding, CAGE 1EEW7 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation is intended to be “unrestricted” in business size, other than full and open competition/after exclusion of sources. This is proposed to be a FAR 12 effort. Description of requirements: One (1) Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Cylindrical Horizontal Grinding Machine in accordance with Technical Specification VIBB 22-20-1202 dated 09 August 2022. Performance period/completion 270 days after receipt of order. FOB Destination, Inspection at Origin and Acceptance at Destination. Destination is Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL 32212. The complete technical data package for VIBB 22-20-1202 including machine, training, technical data, IUID tags, shipping, rigging, installation, tooling, all design, lubrication, supplies, and labor requirements will be included as a part of the solicitation. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. RFQ SPE4A8-24-Q-0017 is anticipated to be issue on or around 12 April 2024.
