The purpose of this requirement is to provide laboratory services/supplies and equipment calibration for the Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) office. The SOH office routinely collects air and surface samples during surveys and assessments to identify occupational exposure to health and safety hazards. These samples must be sent to an accredited laboratory for analysis. The SOH office has a federally mandated requirement to annually calibrate equipment that is utilized for conducting workplace surveys and assessments. Recurring surveys and sample collection requires replenishment of sampling supplies and media.
