In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) anticipates awarding a modification to existing Installation Support Services Contract SP3300-17-C-5002 on a sole source basis to Akima Support Operations, LLC (ASO) for DLA Distribution San Joaquin, CA. This effort includes all labor in support of facilities maintenance, utilities operations, maintenance and repair, grounds maintenance, equipment maintenance, repair services, special event support, and mail services. The modification would extend performance for up to a six (6) month period pursuant to FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services. Due to unanticipated acquisition process delays, it has become necessary to modify existing contract SP3300-17-C-5002 to allow for uninterrupted Installation Support Services for up to a six (6) month period beginning on 1 March 2022. Pursuant to the exception under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only ASO is capable of providing the services at this time. Award to any other source will result in unacceptable delays and cause a disruption to DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California activities. The modification to current contract SP3300-17-C-5002 will serve as a temporary solution to fulfill immediate mission requirements. The J&A for this extension of services will be posted as part of this notice once the modification is executed. This is not a solicitation for proposals or an invitation for bids. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice of a non-competitive action.
