SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS INTRODUCTION The Regional Health Contracting Office, Fort Hood, Texas is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and industry technologies available to provide VITEK 2 Analyzer Reagents and Consumables to be delivered to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital (GLWACH), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This request is anticipated to result in a Firm Fixed-Priced contract. It is projected that the requirement will be for a 12 month base period and four 12 month option years. The type of solicitation to be issued will be based upon the responses to this synopsis. Contact with Government Personnel, other than the Contract Specialist identified at the bottom of this notice, by any potential offeror, or their employees’, regarding this requirement is strictly prohibited. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition. Multiple awards may be made. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding submissions. VITEK II AST-GP67 Test Kit Contains 20 cards per box Susceptibility card for gram positive organisms Quantity required annually not to exceed 48 boxes 2. VITEK II AST-GN66 Test Kit Contains 20 cards per box Susceptibility card for antibiotic testing Quantity required annually not to exceed 70 boxes 3. VITEK II AST ST02 Susp Card Contains 20 cards per box Susceptibility card for antibiotic testing Quantity required annually not to exceed 18 boxes 4. VITEK II Gram Neg ID Card Contains 20 cards per box Identification card for gram-negative organisms Quantity required annually not to exceed 32 boxes 5. VITEK II Gram Pos ID Card Contains 20 cards per box Identification card for gram-negative organisms Quantity required annually not to exceed 30 boxes 6. VITEK II NH ID Card Contains 20 cards per box Identification card for Neisseria Haemophilus organisms Quantity required annually not to exceed 5 boxes 7. Vitek II ANC Test Kit Card Contains 20 cards per box Identification card for Anaerobes and Corynebacteria Quantity required annually not to exceed 5 boxes 8. Reagent Saline 0.45% 1000 ml Contains 12 bottles per box Saline reagent for VITEK II analyzer Quantity required annually not to exceed 3 boxes 9. Pipette 145 ?cl Fixed Volume Contains 1 per box Pipette used for the VITEK II instrument Quantity required annually not to exceed 1 boxes 10. Unsensitized tubes Contains 2000 tubes per box Culture tubes for VITEK II analyzer Quantity required annually not to exceed 3 boxes 11. DensiCheck Cal Plus Standards Contains 1 per box Used to verify the DensiCHEK Plus instrument measurement performance Quantity required annually not to exceed 2 boxes The intent of this Sources Sought is to assess the market availability of VITEK 2 Analyzer Reagents and Consumables that could meet this requirement. Non-Developmental Item. The Reagents and Consumables should be non- developmental items to the maximum extent possible. Maintenance, Inspection and Repair. Not applicable SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS. Not applicable ELIGIBILITY The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325413 - In-Vitro diagnostic Substance Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6550- In Vitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits and Sets. SUBMISSION DETAILS Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the product listed above. In response to this notice, interested parties shall submit a written Statement of Capability limited up to 5 pages and shall include the following information: •Offeror MUST be able to deliver requested Reagents and Consumables to General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital (GLWACH), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri 65473-8952. •Offeror’s name, address, point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address. •Offeror’s interest in providing a proposal/quote on the solicitation when it is issued. •Offeror’s capability to meet personnel requirements. •If not the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) respondent offeror must provide documentation from the OEM stating that they are authorized/qualified to supply the requested Reagents and Consumables. •Offeror’s that possess a Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), please include FSS contract number in any response. If items are not listed on FSS, please state whether items are open market items. • Documentation of appropriate products must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary means to compete for this acquisition. •Offeror’s type of small business and Business Size (Whether 8(a), HUB Zone, Women-Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, etc.), or Large Business Status, should be documented in the Statement of Capability. Interested parties are responsible for marking information that is proprietary in nature. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information requests. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it, pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought notice. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. No subcontracting opportunity is anticipated. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract action based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
