See revised attachment. The Military Sealift Command (MSC), Special Mission Programs Office, PM2, requests information pertaining to one vessel to support the Government’s needs as described below. INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE IF THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD EXERCISE AN UPCOMING OPTION UNDER AN EXISTING CONTRACT. The Military Sealift Command (MSC) requires a CABLESHIP and crew to provide rapid response to lay, inspect and repair in-shore and deep water submarine cable systems using an ROV. The vessel shall be a United States (U.S.) flag commercial vessel, registered and operated under the laws of the U.S., and crewed by U.S. citizens. The vessel will also be required to perform installation, plowing, repair and maintenance of deep water and near shore oceanographic measurement systems. In accordance with decisions of the U.S. Customs Service, Jones Act compliance is not required of a cable-laying vessel.
