The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with General Dynamics-OTS, Inc. (CAGE: 05606) for the procurement of one (1) Firing Pin Protrusion Gage, Part Number: 889C910G1, NSN: 5210-01-027-8445 for the Kuwait F/A-18 E-F Program. The procurement will be issued under the authority of Foreign Military Sales case KU-P-SBG, Letter of Offer and Acceptance dated 11 March 2017 between the United States Government and Kuwait. The Firing Pin Protrusion Gage is used to properly measure the amount of the firing pin projecting through the bolt. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
