The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) to the OEM, John Bean Technologies Corporation (Cage Code 54077) Ogden, UT and their aurthorized distributors on a limited source basis for a Fixed-Price IDIQ type contract for the procurement of up to quantity eightteen (18) Air Conditioner, Model A/M32C-23, Part Number (P/N) L100000. This diesel-electric powered air conditioner is required to cool MQ-4C aircraft avionics compartments during ground maintenance. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 3204 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 8.405-6(b). The Government does not own the data rights. A competitive drawing package for this effort is not available. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. There is no solicitation package available. This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with John Bean Technologies (JBT) Corporation and their authorized Distributor Wright & Wright Machinery Co., Inc, for the manufacture and delivery of Air Conditioner, Model A/M32C-23, Part Number (P/N) L100000, NSN: 4120-01-563-7884 in support of the MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) program. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and is issued in conformance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1; it does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Proposal (RFP), or a Request for Quote (RFQ). This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to this RFI, and the Government will not compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the response to this RFI. Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation may not necessarily result from this RFI. Availability of any formal solicitation may be announced under a separate beta.sam announcement. Any requests for copies of solicitations will not be addressed since this is an RFI, not an RFP. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP.
