The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends on issuing a sole source solicitation and contract to Thermex-Thermatron Systems LLC for the relocation, and validate operation of Thermatron 15KW Radio Frequency Dielectric Heat Sealer, Model F15-30. These professional services are to support an ongoing NAVFAC contract that is set to update the power including the capacity to get all of these heat sealer units operational. The services that the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard intends to procure are for equipment that was previously purchased and installed by Thermex-Thermatron Systems LLC. The equipment was purchased and is used in a majority of the shipyards nuclear work is done exclusively on this equipment. This equipment is highly sensitive and the Thermex-Thermatron equipment has been uniquely modified to make it safer during the use in the shipyards process. The process is unique to the shipyards work and not found in industry. The Thermex-Thermatron personnel are highly trained in the installation and maintenance of these Heat Sealers.
