Under the authority 10 U.S.C.2304(C)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard intends to award the contract to Curtiss-Wright to remove, install, and test the High Pressure Air Compressor (HPAC) #1 and #2 manufactured by Curtiss-Wright. Curtiss-Wright is the original equipment manufacturer and is the only vendor to perform this type of work aboard a Navy 688 class submarine while meeting the Navy's standards and expectations.
