As part of the wider Air Force Preventive Maintenance program (PM), we at the Structures Shop are tasked with performing visual inspections and maintenance tasks to roofs and gutters across 601 facilities on RAFL and RAFF. These tasks are carried out annually and are vital to CE so the condition of the roofs can be tracked and the data collected and input into NexGen system. To achieve the PM tasks we currently hire in two (2) articulated boom lifts, also called MEWP's (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) and the carry out the inspections on a daily basis for approximately 6-8 months in the year.
