The 501st Regional Contracting Office at RAF Alconbury, UK intends to award a sole-source award to Setcan Corporation for the Stress Vest brank CCMCK. The Stress Vest is the only training simulator that can provide a realistic combat training experience through the use of electric shocks to simulate receiving gunfire, which in turn, promotes decision-making skills under duress. Other laser-based combat simulators lack the electic shock feature necessary to discourage "cheating" and other tactical errors, which could prove fatal in a real-world situation. Additionally, shock-based "tazer tag" is geared toward commercial/recreational audiences and lacks the necessary realism needed for military training.
