The purpose of this requirement is to replace two (2ea) existing boilers in Bldg 1265 with the replacement make and model boiler, Lochinvar (FTX850N-M13 CSD-1). The two (2) existing boilers are no longer working and require replacement. The currently used model number has been officially replaced by Lochinvar. Replacing the Lochinvar natural gas heaters with the replacement model will remove the need for re-plumbing any of the supply and return lines, no need of re-wiring any of the electrical lines or thermostat wires and the vent stacks will fit perfectly with out any re-piping of the venting stacks saving the government time and money on changing the current system in order to work with a different brand of boilers.
