An award will not be issued as a result of this Notice, but information gathered will help in helping us define our solicication once we formally post a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation" Travis AFB has a requirement for aircraft wheel washer/system to perform normal maintenance on wheel assemblies they must be cleaned of grease, brake dust, dirt, and rubber from previous use. Travis currently does not have a wheel washing system, instead, we utilize the aircraft washing contractors to fulfill this requirement. This causes unpredictable delays as we cannot control the speed or frequency that the washes are completed. This will all be exaggerated by the integration of the KC-46 aircraft that will double the workload in the tire shop coming soon. Contractor shall provide and install wheel washer including additional attachments/options in accordance with (IAW) the statement of work (SOW) (see attached draft SOW).
