This is not a solicitation/request for proposal and no contract shall be resultant from this synopsis. There is no solicitation package available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the AFLCMC.** The F-16 has continually growing avionics needs and requirements, which has resulted in older, heavier LRU’s being replaced by modern lighter equipment. This has created a need for ballast which will be used to adjust aircraft center of gravity. Ballasts will be made from various densities of tungsten and help balance the aircraft based on the updated and lighter equipment being installed.
