The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Helicopter Program Office, HH-60W Division (AFLCMC/WIH) is officially conducting market research that will be used to assess the ability of companies and industry at large to perform integration, production, and installation of a light weight directional infrared countermeasures system (DIRCM) A-kit. See attached document. 3 Nov 2021 updated response date from 15 Nov to 22 Nov. No other changes were made. 23 Nov 2021 update to post contractor posed questions and Government responses: Q: Which MWS are you planning on using the CMWS – (AAR-56) or the MWS – (AAR-47)? Response: This will depend on the DIRCM solution. AAR-57 is currently installed, but we could switch to another system depending on the capability. Q: Which ALE-47 are you using? Response: The specific ALE-47 used will be dependent on the DIRCM solution. Q: Are you using the ALE-45 buckets/dispensers with the large dispensers or the ALE-47 with the H series buckets? Response: ALE-47 with H-buckets. Q: Will the aircraft also have a RWR system onboard? Response: Yes, we have a RWR (APR-52). Q: Which System processor will be the Core for the ASE Suite? (RWR, ALE, CMWS/MWS, or LWS) Response: We don’t have a core. Q: Are you using the new integrated processor for the Core of the ASE Suite? Response: No, since we don’t have a core.
