Amendment 0001: The purpose of this amendment is to revise the solicitation in accordance with attached 1305M221QNWWG00350001. Also, a conformed copy of the revised solicitation is also provided with this amendment (note corrected conformed copy of revised solicitation reflecting all changes through amendment 0001 was posted on 4/21/2021): 1. The due date for the solicitation is extended from April 22, 2021 1:00PM EST to April 27, 2021 1:00PM EST. 2. Duplicate or unnecessary clauses are hereby removed (see Amendment 0001). 3. The language regarding task orders Section B Paragraph 4 is hereby removed. 4. CLINS 0001, 0002, and 0003 are updated with the correct period of performance and number of soundings 5. CAR 1352.270-70 Period of Performance (APR 2010) is updated to reflect an accurate period of performance 6. NAM 1330-52.215-70 Schedule of Deliverables is hereby updated to reflect the number of soundings required for the base year. 7. (end of Amendment 0001 description) The objective of the MDCRS requirement is to acquire atmospheric observations from commercial aircraft leading to the improved prediction of thunderstorms, flash floods, hail, tornadoes, clouds, icing, and climate. The prediction of these phenomena is essential to protecting lives and property. The contract requires data meeting the requirements of the government for wind and temperature observations from commercial aircraft.
