THIS IS A POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ISSUED ONLY TO CONDUCT A MARKET RESEARCH. The information received will be used within USDA-ARS to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside of the organization. This announcement is not a request for proposals, but a survey of the market for potential sources. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. USDA-ARS is seeking business that supply building automation system (BAS) equipment, that would be willing to enter into a 5-year contract to provide BAS equipment under an IDIQ contract. The Government will require that the contractor be an authorized vendor or distributer or retailer of the required brand of BAS equipment. Source of equipment from the following manufacturers: Functional Devices Kele Setra Patlite Senva Dynacon Dwyer Edstrom Rosmount IDEC Belimo TSI Altech Iboco ABB Hoffman Carling Technology Phonix Windy City APC Potter Electric Johnson Controls The estimated amount for this contract would be over $1M for the 5 year ordering period. Interested sources are invited to respond to this sources sought announcement utilizing their company letterhead in a Portable Document Format (PDF), Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel. The Government shall required that no 3rd party or pass through companies who are not in the business of BAS supplies are eligible for this procurement. The Government will required that the contractor is in the business of BAS supply or a part of their normal operating business.
