RFQ Number 127DF520Q0002 is amended to add the following questions from prospective contractors, and corresponding answers from the government: Question 1: We core a minimum of two “site trees” per setting (stand) – correct? Answer: Correct. A minimum of 2 site trees per setting (stand). Question 2: We core two “growth sample trees” (small and large) per plot – correct? Answer: Do not core 2 “growth sample trees” per plot. Use the 2 site trees per stand as growth sample trees. Question 3: Should only pine (not hardwood) be considered eligible for core sampling for “site trees” and “growth sample trees”? Answer: Use only pine, shortleaf or loblolly for site trees. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, expertise, and other incidentals necessary, except as otherwise provided, to successfully complete Common Stand Examination Services in Montgomery County Wildlife Habitat Improvement (695 exams) and the Nebletts Creek Project Areas (482 exams) in San Jacinto County on the Sam Houston Ranger District as per attached Statement of Work and maps; total of 1177 Common Stand Exams with a Period of Performance of 03/03/2020 to 05/31/2020, at the Sam Houston National Forest, located in New Waverly, Texas, in accordance with the performance work statement. This is a Request for Quotes which will result in a firm-fixed price, performance-based, requirements contract for a period of performance from 3 March 2020 thru 31 May 2020. The government anticipates making award to one offeror as a result of the solicitation. This project is set-aside 100% for small businesses. Award will be made based on lowest priced technically acceptable to the government and can be made on initial offers. An organized site visit is not scheduled.
