Source Sought Notice Solicitation No. 12639521Q0014 The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) requests information regarding the availability of VHF wildlife tracking transmitters for the APHIS Wildlife Services, National Wildlife Research Center (WS-NWRC), at Barrigada, Guam. The primary objective of this notice is to seek information from sources capable of providing VHF wildlife tracking transmitters in the 164.000 to 166.999 MHz frequency range for the purpose of research conducted to evaluate and improve control of invasive Brown Treesnakes (BTS) on Guam. Transmitter characteristics (size, battery life, coating, antenna configuration, etc.) will vary by study. The Federal Supply Code (FSC) for this requirement is 5820 – Radio TV Equipment, except airborne. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334220 - GPS equipment manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. Please provide either a published or non-published price list that includes the different characteristics (size, battery life, coating, antenna configuration, etc.) which will affect the price. Pricing provided in response to the solicitation must include cost of delivery to USDA APHIS WS-NWRC program located at 233 Pangelinan Way, Barrigada, GU 96913-1277. This notice is not a request for quotes or proposals, but instead market research to determine interested parties prior to issuing a solicitation. Pricing information that may be provided is for estimation purposes only. A determination by the U.S. Government (USG) on the method of competing this requirement has not been established. The USG will not award a contract based on this notice or the information provided, nor will the USG reimburse participants for the information they provide. Include the following information in your reply to this notice: 1) Business name and point of contact; 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) business size; and 4) a brief statement of Capability (no more than three pages) which demonstrates the ability to provide the items described in this notice. Include any pertinent past performance information on procurements of similar size and scope. Interested parties who submit information in response to this notice are responsible for appropriately marking information that is proprietary in nature. A determination by the USG not to compete this proposed contract action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the USG.
