This acquisition is needed to ensure paved areas, walkways and landscaping are safe for vehicle or pedestrian traffic intended at the Rochester Ranger Station Office continuously throughout the year in support of USDA and Green Mountain & Finger Lakes National Forests. Winter maintenance includes maintaining driveways, sidewalks, parking lots and points of egress to facilities at the Rochester Ranger Station by removing snow and ice accumulation to provide safe access to facilities by providing a quality standard of maintaining safe administrative site access during and after weather events over the course of year.
